Tiny Tastes: Intro to Solids Class

Everything you need to confidently start solids and create positive mealtimes from day one.

👶 4+ months⏱ 1 hour

Tiny Tastes is a course designed by a pediatric occupational therapist and feeding specialist to support your baby’s first bites. Dr. Erin Heyn built this course based o years of practice and hundreds of success stories transitioning infants to solids. In the course she walks you through everything you need to feel confident with starting solid foods from knowing when to get started, what methods of feeding are out there, and materials for success.

A single in-person feeding consult with a pediatric OT runs $150–300+. This course gives you the same choking/gagging safety training, seating setup, and feeding-method breakdown and more for $24.99. For the same price as a pack of teethers you get skills you'll use every single meal for the next year.

What will I learn?

  • Signs of readiness and pre-feeding activities to build the right skills first
  • Seating and positioning for safe, supported mealtimes
  • Responsive feeding and the general rules of introducing solids
  • Different methods of starting solids, with real food examples
  • What it actually looks like when babies eat — real footage, real reactions
  • The materials you'll want on hand before getting started
  • Introducing cup and straw drinking
  • Choking vs. gagging, and how to safely introduce common allergens
  • Chewing and oral motor skill development
  • Activities to practice at home, and when it's time to seek extra help

Is this Course Right for Me?

This course is designed for parents and caregivers who are thinking about starting solid foods, recently started, or have been working on solid foods for a while. Each chapter is short, practical, and easy to follow along.

After This Course

You only get one first bite. By the end of this course, mealtimes stop feeling like a guessing game — you'll walk into every one ready. You'll be able to:

  • Start solids with real confidence — no more second-guessing every bite or googling at 2am
  • Tell gagging from real choking at a glance, and know exactly how to respond
  • Choose the feeding style that fits your family — purees, baby-led weaning, or a mix of both
  • Set up mealtimes your baby can actually join in on — the right seating, tools, and pacing
  • Know exactly when it's time to loop in a professional — and when things are right on track

You'll finish ready for mealtimes, not dreading them.
